Seneca (Italy) - Z-KEY-P is a gateway capable of transmitting data bidirectionally between Profinet IO and ModBUS RTU / ASCII / TCP-IP industrial networks. The device is equipped with 2 serial ports and 1 Ethernet 100 BaseT port and it is compatible with most common PLCs supporting the Profinet IO standard.

The Z-KEY-P autonomously reads the registers of devices on the serial bus or Ethernet ModBUS and makes them available for access by a Profinet IO controller. The ModBUS side works as a Master device capable of controlling a sub-network with 128 ModBUS RTU/ASCII slave nodes and can manage up to 500 variables (TAGs); each ModBUS TAG is convertible to Profinet IO.

Configuration and diagnostics are available via integrated web server, software suite, excel template (variable management and export), Simatic TiA Portal environment (in case of system integration with Siemens PLC), and CoDeSys PLC.
