The white paper analyzes the evolution of 5G networks to the 5G-Advanced (5G-A) standard, which brings advanced capabilities, such as higher data transmission speeds, lower latency, and support for more demanding services like smart cities, autonomous networks, and AI-based solutions. The document also highlights Brazil's role as one of the fastest markets in adopting 5G, exceeding the goals set in the 2021 spectrum auction.
The study offers a prospective analysis of the evolution of international standards and the experiences of other countries, emphasizing the importance of spectrum harmonization and adopting global standards to consolidate meaningful and universal connectivity in the country.
