Service Sales Consultant – Industrial Weighing

The Role:

Mason Technology is recruiting for a Technical Sales Consultant to sell and promote industrial service solutions with a key focus on weighing and vacuum applications. This role will help to position Mason Technology as the primary supplier of service and calibration offerings through the effective management of customer accounts in the Scientific Research and Development (R&D), Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, food, and Industrial sectors. The individual will work within a close team of people with a high degree of specialisation and will be required to travel countrywide. This sales role is technically challenging but rewarding for the successful candidate.  Full product and services training will be offered.

You will determine your own schedule, making frequent visits to existing and potential customers and liaise with our in-house support teams. You will help identify potential new areas of business with support from our marketing tools and resources.

Your development and execution of sales plans, targets and forecasts within the region, as well as your customer visit reports, market analysis and timely, accurate market information will support the business strategy. You will liaise with colleagues from other Business Units to maximize our customer relationships and business outcomes wherever possible and can be part of ad-hoc project work.

Ultimately, you will ensure we understand our customer's needs and that we provide the equipment and services to support those needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotion and selling of the comprehensive suite of Industrial technical service offerings from Mason Technology to an existing and expanding client base.
• Key focus areas of weighing and vacuum applications.
• Support the post-sales process, collaborating with the Sales and Marketing Teams.
• Assist with the creation of marketing material and implementation of initiatives aligned with the overall Company and Service Strategy.
• Support new and existing customer projects remotely and on-site.
• Growth and expansion of service business within existing customer base with a focus on retention of service contracts.
• Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships.
• Work closely with the Sales Manager and the overall sales and service team.

Qualifications, Knowledge:

• Proven track record in technical / mechanical product or service sales – ideally minimum 3 – 5 years.
• Strong technical background with aptitude to deal with customers face-to-face.
• Knowledge of weighing and vacuum equipment, and applications an advantage.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Industrial Sectors.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for building systems to match customer needs.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
