Lika Electronic Srl (Italy) - Programmable draw-wire encoder, a first for market!
Lika Electronic introduces a new range of incremental and absolute draw-wire encoders with increased measuring lengths up to 5,000 mm (196.85”) and 10,000 mm (393.7”). Worthy of remark the first cable-pulling measuring system with integral programmable incremental encoder.
Lika Electronic presents a new range of cable-pulling measuring systems: under the spotlight in this month SFE, the first wire-actuated measuring system in the market with integral programmable incremental encoder; and SFA, the absolute version encompassing a 25-bit absolute encoder with SSI interface. The cable-pulling mechanism has been redesigned and is now able to reach increased measuring lengths up to 5,000 mm (196.85”) and 10,000 mm (393.7”). Nevertheless the enclosure is very compact and integral.
Build with premium-quality and rugged components, draw-wire encoders are ideally suited for use in typical industrial applications (outriggers, stabilizing slides, telescopic cranes, booms in utility vehicles and mobile equipment, forklifts, loading platforms as well as electro-medical equipment) and are aimed at reliable operation in dynamic systems with speeds up to 3 m/s (118 inches per second). Installation is very simple and fast, even in more constricted spaces, and ensures perfect interchangeability with SF-I and SF-A series models.
SFE is the first wire-actuated measuring system in the market with integral programmable incremental encoder, thus it can be freely programmed via PC (linear resolution up to 12 µm) to meet the more diverse individual requirements. It provides AB0 and inverted /AB0 signals via Push-Pull and Line Driver compatible universal output circuit. The output signal voltage level is according to the input voltage (+5Vdc +30Vdc). Furthermore SFE is also supplied with preprogrammed resolution (500 to 50 µm).
SFA is a very simple and inexpensive measuring system and provides the absolute position information via the robust and proven SSI interface with Binary or Gray output code. It is available in three resolution versions: 25 µm, 50 µm and 100 µm linear resolution. It is further equipped with Zero setting and Counting direction inputs.
Cable and M23 / M12 connector options in either axial or radial output are among the choice.
The range of draw-wire units from Lika Electronic will be complemented with further models such as the CANopen and EasyCAN fieldbus interface models.
The new analogue current and voltage version with travel length settable via buttons will be brought out in June.
