VIA Launches Mobile360 M820 In-Vehicle System

VIA Technologies, Inc. (Taiwan) - Accelerates integration of ADAS, Surround View and Driver Monitoring safety systems for commercial fleet segments.

VIA Technologies, Inc. announced the launch of the VIA Mobile360 M820, a fanless, ultra-compact in-vehicle system designed to upgrade existing commercial fleets with advanced driver assistance and safety systems.

Supporting up to nine automotive-grade cameras, the VIA Mobile360 M820 powers a comprehensive software suite that supports Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS), Surround View (SVS), Driver Monitoring (DMS), Parking Assistance (PAS) and Dynamic Moving Object Detection (DMOD) applications. Software customization options include specific solutions for freight and delivery operations, public transportation, heavy industrial applications in construction and mining, and autonomous delivery vehicles.

The VIA Mobile360 M820 is designed to handle the rigors of long-term in-vehicle operation and uses a fanless, rugged design that is compliant with global vibration and shock standards. Housed in a compact and low-profile aluminum chassis, the M820 is ideal for space constrained, in-vehicle environments and capable of stable operation at temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C. Standard automotive power delivery (9-36V DC input) includes ACC/IGN support.

The VIA Mobile360 M820 measures just 240mm x 53mm x 180mm (9.45″ x 2.09″ x 7.09″), and supports nine FAKRA input connectors, two USB 3.0 ports and one Micro USB 2.0 port,  DIO and COM ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, plus a CAN bus port. 4G LTE wireless connectivity is supported using an optional Mini PCIe module plus onboard SIM card slot, while 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GNSS and Gigabit Ethernet are also supported.

The VIA Mobile360 M820 is available now as part of a discrete system solution for several transportation segments including freight, last-mile deliveries, buses, coaches, with specialized solutions for heavy mining and quarry vehicles.

VIA Mobile360 transportation solutions based on the VIA Mobile360 M820 system include automotive-grade FOV-40 and FOV-180 cameras, FAKRA cables, a ruggedized touch screen display, and various storage and 4G networking options.
